It is up to you really. There are agents in Md that are licensed in PA as well. And visa versa .
So if you want to have 2 agents you may. Your buying agent in PA would be paid by the list agent you buy from in pa. So you would not have to pay 2 commissions.
Some agents are stronger list agents then they are buyers agents.
Plus a MD agent may not have a good grip on the PA market.

We moved up here from Towson. If we stayed there our kids would have had to go to private schools. The school system here is excellent. And yes the school taxes can increase and will over time. The taxes are based on the assesed value of your home. Try to find an older home and the taxes will be lower. If you have kids this area is packed with parks, playgrounds non stop things for them to do. ... more

Agents now have the capability in the MLS to do rental property searches for you. Also, I know that the Community Courier, York Dispatch, and Daily Record also list rentals.
