Jonathan Richardson answered:
Six years ago I believed the revitalization would eventually reach Bordeaux. I bought a house for my family to live in and the house next door to renovate, both on Curtis Street. I saw some problem houses demolished, but not replaced. I saw someone build an overly nice house and then lose it in bankruptcy. No one was turning rentals into owner-occupied homes. People were endlessly throwing trash out their car windows. Then finally something big was happening on the vacant land behind the local Kroger. New retail? Nope. Section 8 housing. Then it dawned on me that the existing residents of the downtown neighborhoods are being displaced by redevelopment and have to go somewhere, and the city's plan is to relocate them to Bordeaux. Some people think nice neighborhoods and bad can be in harmony next to each other. I haven't seen it work in Nashville. Without a thriving economy Bordeaux will, at best, hold even. Also, the public schools are horrible, and the private schools are far away. The Bordeaux Kroger is the worst one in Middle Tennessee. For any kind shopping you have to go to some other part of town. By the time I had the cash to buy more properties and start renovating, I saw nothing promising in Bordeaux. I sold what I had at a loss and left the state. ... more

The Glen Valley apartments are very near I-40 and the airport. Perhaps the best search tool for which to locate crime information is http://crimemapping.com. Good luck.

Like the other individuals have said, it's approximately 22-25 miles. You actually wouldn't have to get on I-24 in order to reach Murfreesboro. You might find staying on Murfreesboro Road would be more convenient (but there will be more traffic lights--yikes!). ... more

That's a really nice home! Back in May 2010, we had an incredible flood here in Middle Tennessee, a flood that some called the flood of the millennium. The website that was referenced below could help you figure out if this area was one that was hit hard that year or not. I hope this helps! Always check with the county school board yourself, wherever you are considering moving. As well-meaning as everyone is, schools are occasionally re-zoned from one year to the next.

There are different reasons a listing might not have interior pictures in addition to accidental ones that should be corrected upon discovery. The property might show poorly. The house might be rented and entry might be difficult. I even had a gentleman once who would not let me take but four or five pictures because he didn't want everyone to be able to see his stereo equipment.

What ever the reason, there are probably ways to get you some more views, if you wish to give me a call.

Thanks,

Lauretta -- I'm betting you love the tv show Nashville. Those of us who LIVE here in Nashville also love it, because Nashville is finally getting a little national recognition for what a wonderful city we have! I expect that the house you're asking about might just be the "home" of one of the Nashville tv stars -- idk, maybe Juliette Barnes? The home is breathtaking, of course. Now let me be honest. I have not yet sold a 3.5 million dollar house -- but if you're financially qualified to snag this home and allow me to serve as your Realtor, I will personally buy you the entire set of Nashville shows once they are out on DVD, and I'll throw in the best blu-ray player as well! ... more
