$400.00 per month. I live in Muskegon and know the area and it's recent criminal activity it has been experiencing over the last few years. You also want to consider the average income in Muskegon. Also, it's only a one bedroom (probably with a flight of stairs to access), so your target renter would probably be a single person/ a couple with no children, or a older person. ... more

I am curious to see how you all agree or disagree, I came across this blog to see what typical rent would be, I'm 21 and live at home, am a full time student, and work between 40-90 hours a week (60 being avg.) I pay for my own car, car insurance, health insurance, gasoline, food, tuition, laundry detergent, basic hygiene items
The house is currently under construction throughout, my room currently doesn't have a crawling or walls, and have been sleeping on the couch for two weeks, whatever not a big deal, rent was proposed and the number I heard was 750$ per month
Also to add, house rules currently are that nobody is allowed to stay over, must have permission for anyone to stop in, not aloud to drink at home, I MUST come home directly after work to assist with house projects( that I can't do physical by myself)
Giving these circumstances do any of you parents out there agree or disagree with this number? Or should I just move out

Hello,

If you're attempting to sell if for sale by owner, you unfortunately cannot do that on Trulia. You'll instead need to do that on Zillow.com or forsalebyowner.com.

Only licensed Real Estate agents can list properties on Trulia.

Good luck!

Npallas,
Robert gave you some great advice. In the month since your offer, they've probably made another payment on their mortgage and could have been on their way to their next home. Talk to your agent about Robert's strategy and see what they think. It may be worth a try. ... more

I've never entered an open house through Trulia. I entered it into our MLS system and it was picked up through the daily data transfer.

Hi Jim,
Have you ever taken over a project someone else started? Especially when they didn't know what they were doing and you did? Generally the first person, while well intentioned creates issues that the professional coming behind them has to undo.
Selling a home isn't as easy or safe as it looks. Since you anticipate using an agent eventually, reconsider your plan and either get them now or hold off until you do get them.
