I personally don't know a lot about rentals, but I would suggest looking either in the rentals section on Trulia and www.rent.com. Here are a few things that might increase your chances of finding a rental after bankruptcy, if you're struggling with your credit score:

1. Find a cosigner, such as a close family member or friend.
2. Make a larger deposit
3. Ask a previous landlord to vouch for you. This can go really far to an apartment complex.
4. Rent from a smaller landlord, such as a private homeowner who may not personally perform a credit check.

Best of luck to you!

Barrett Realty Co. can help anyone. Their number is 615-837-2161. Their office is located in Nashville but have homes all over the immediate Middle Tenn area. Their website is barrettrealtyco.com click on homes for lease and you will see their entire listing. The only stipulations are that you cannot have a past eviction, cannot be in a bankruptcy, and they check past rental history and criminal backgrounds. ... more

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Victoria, The way your question is written, I assume you are looking for a rental rather than to purchase. If that is the case, call our office at 615-220-2733 and ask to speak with an agent regarding rentals. We have a full time property management team that has inventory.

If you are looking to purchase, call my office and ask for me. I will set you up on an automated system that sends listings to you as they hit the market that meet your criteria.

Show a proof of income (paystub etc), maybe banking statement and if possible pre-pay rent (fe instead of one month's rent offer 2-3 months rent).
You can work with a real estate agent or search on your own fe: craigslist, rental websites like forrent.com, apartments.com etc. Not all the landlords will ask for credit report but they may require some extra deposit
Good luck!

Hello there!

I don't have any setting to allow me to see if a property allows pets, but I was able to create a search for you on my website which lists all the available rentals in Murfreesboro which are listed by agents and fulfill your other requirements:

Honestly, I would highly recommend also checking out craigslist. :)
