Hi Leeann.

That is and should always be a major concern for anyone who is relocating to an unfamiliar area. But every buyer/renter has a different interpretation of Safe or Unsafe depending upon their personal opinion. The Brandon Realtor who you are working with should be able to send you the links for Crime stats specific to the Russellwood area so you can review them and see your comfort level for the area. Brandon is a very large area and all areas are different. My only advice to you is, if you haven't already done so, make sure you choose an agent who specializes in the Brandon area and can be an asset/resource for you.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Leeann,

What are you looking for when you ask a question that states: How safe is the Russellwood Condo Development areas around the complex? What I would suggest you do is get in touch with the HOA Administrator and talk with them about whether the community is safe or not. Here's their telephone number: (813) 968-5665 the property management company is Wise Property Management. You can look up crime statistics by going to Hillsborough County's website: http://www.tampagov.net/dept_Police/information_resources/Cr…

Hope this helps.

Leeann,

to get answers on the safety of an area, I recommend that you talk with either the Brandon or Hillsborough county sheriff's Community Laison Officer. they have all of the info you could want on an area, and are able to talk to you about safety. It is unethical and illegal for a realtor to talk about the safety of any area.

Hope this helps.

If unfamiliar with the area, do research online and do visit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors; for any safety concerns contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand; real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
