Hi Brendan:

Make sure that you have the estimate - and that you understand it - in writing where possible. Movers have "industry lingo" which has confused my buyers in the past, generally around which hour is the first hour, initial charges, wrapping/packing fees, delays, storage, etc. Ask questions to make sure you understand the pricing policy, including tiping!

Best of luck, Marks and Marathon are good choices.

Hi Brendan,

I would recommend you visit the website http://www.servicemagic.com.

You fill in the information surrounding your request and you will receive quotes from prescreened professionals. As you will see when you visit the site, you can find professionals for all your home needs. I am in no way affiliated with the website....I have just had good luck with it myself.

Good luck and let us know how you make out!

Service magic is good but beware that companies will be calling you if you provide your phone number. Also, they sent me free magazine subscriptions (but without asking me) which is giving my personal information to a 3rd party.
