I would suggest going to the websites of the areas you think uou are interested in and they will give you statistical crime data. The level of crime you feel acceptable could be different than mine and vice versa. I would be happy to show you property in all the surrounding areas ... more

My sons live within a few doors of the property. I stay with them about 1 week per month. Myself & my sons are not experiencing anything like you're describing. I walked my son's dog every night after sunset, and some nights after midnight for the past 2 weeks and heard nothing.

However, please take the advice offered. Look up town records, or just call the police.

Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to advise you on homes in the Charleston area!

The home on Conch Street and the home in Rivertowne are completely different properties in completely different neighborhoods. The biggest difference that you would notice at once is that Copahee View has a much more rural feel on a larger lot. The home in Rivertowne Parkway is in a small lot in a neighborhood that is more formalized with a maritime village feel and higher property values as a whole.

Children in both neighborhoods attend the same schools.

Rivertowne on the Wando is a beautiful community. The property in question currently has HOA fees of $900. anually, which are always subject to change. That fee covers all the common areas, and gives you access to the pool and tennis courts. Joining the golf club is optional and requires an additional membership.

I would assume you want to install a vinyl fence but the covenants call for a wood fence only. I would tyhink it would depend if it was an active HOA or condominium, if they have a board that you can make requests for a change, i would bring a sample of the fence in for them to see, bring wood also that shows peeling paint to show vinyl is more attractive and maintenance free, ... more

I would also recommend getting a few estimates for your hazard insurance due to the broad range of costs between companies.
