Check with the HOA. You would have to purchase a property, or already own one, in order to purchase a garage.

Hi,

I just had a meeting with the sales agent at Dunes West last week. I know it has been a while since you posted your question but the market has changed tremendously since then. Have you found something already?

Talk soon,

My sons live within a few doors of the property. I stay with them about 1 week per month. Myself & my sons are not experiencing anything like you're describing. I walked my son's dog every night after sunset, and some nights after midnight for the past 2 weeks and heard nothing.

However, please take the advice offered. Look up town records, or just call the police.

Cheryll Woods-Flowers ABR answered:
Dear Christine,

Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to advise you on homes in the Charleston area!

The home on Conch Street and the home in Rivertowne are completely different properties in completely different neighborhoods. The biggest difference that you would notice at once is that Copahee View has a much more rural feel on a larger lot. The home in Rivertowne Parkway is in a small lot in a neighborhood that is more formalized with a maritime village feel and higher property values as a whole.

Children in both neighborhoods attend the same schools.

I hope that this has been helpful...let me know if I can assist further!

Best regards,

Cheryll

Millie Martin answered:
Hello Christine,

Rivertowne on the Wando is a beautiful community. The property in question currently has HOA fees of $900. anually, which are always subject to change. That fee covers all the common areas, and gives you access to the pool and tennis courts. Joining the golf club is optional and requires an additional membership.

If I can be of further assistance please call me at 843-830-4977 or email me at mmartin@carolinaone.com

Thanks,
Millie

As a homeowner you should have the convenances and restrictions for the neighborhood.

All the best,

I would assume you want to install a vinyl fence but the covenants call for a wood fence only. I would tyhink it would depend if it was an active HOA or condominium, if they have a board that you can make requests for a change, i would bring a sample of the fence in for them to see, bring wood also that shows peeling paint to show vinyl is more attractive and maintenance free, ... more

Alan Donald answered:
If the Covenants & Restrictions have the acceptable fence materials spelled out, the BAR is just making sure you comply with them, whether it makes sense or not. Your alternatives are to fight it (in court?) or to start a movement to have the C&Rs changed for Palmetto Hall. If the BAR is dominated by owners from DW inside the gate, you may need to be political about it and talk to each of the board members to get their support individually before an HOA meeting. ... more

Jackie,
I know you have received plenty of information regarding the flood zone for this property. I would also recommend getting a few estimates for your hazard insurance due to the broad range of costs between companies. If you would like a few names of insurance agents who are very helpful, I will be glad to email you their information. Thanks!
