If the bedroom is truly a bedroom with a closet and window, I'd put in a twin sized bed. If no closet, window and/or the room is very small, make it an office and move your computer. I would try to keep the living room as "clear" as possible and would put some items in storage (a lot of your clothing & computer if necessary) until your house sells.

Good luck!

Jimw,
Start by contacting any of her relatives. Your standing as a neighbor may not be sufficient to get any legal action going. They may know more. It could also be that the house is in poor condition and the price is reflective of this, but that's just a guess.
A family member would be in the best position to pursue any action against the agent if they acted improperly.

Mount Clemens borders Clinton Township. Are you looking for Mt. Clemens, Clinton Twp., or Rosevile? What price range are you looking in. What are you looking for in a home.

Send me an email and I'll be happy to send you the available properties, both HUD and otherwise.

Jessica,

Good Evening!! The NSP program differs between cities and counties. It is for the purchase of a foreclosed property. The subsidy is a dollar amount the program gives you to cover closing costs, down payment and repairs to the property. To qualify for the nsp program is based on the income on your household income. The program does require you to own the home for a minimum amount of years without having to pay the subsidy back. If you sell the property before this time you have to pay the money back. I would need to know where you were looking to purchase a property to be able to explain in more detail.

Thank You,

Tony Grech answered:
Hi Karen,

There are a lot more great homes for rent out there than there are land contracts. Often you'll pay a premium in the form of a down payment and/or a higher monthly payment and in my opinion there really isn't much of a benefit to the buyer in this situation.

You'd be much better served finding a nice rental home and working on getting your finances in order. Learn to develop a budget and stick to it religously. Make sure you build your savings each month. And work on that credit! Make arrangements to pay off all collection accounts and maintain a stellar payment history on at least 3-4 tradelines of credit for a minimum of 12-24 months with zero late payments.

If you do this then I guarantee you'll be in a position to qualify for a mortgage down the road, and you won't be locked into a particular home because you signed a land contract. Keep your options open!

Best of luck,
Tony

Good Evening!! As a Realtor we are not allowed to discuss crime, and demographics of an area due to "steering" If you want this information you can contact the area police and school district. This home is located in the Mt. Clemens Public School district. It is also close to shopping and it's within a 10 mile range of serveral Malls and Macomb Community college.

Good Luck,

Go down to the assessors office in town and see Ann. She will give you a printout of all the information on the home you are buying. Check to see that the information the assessor has is accurate for the home you are buying and that you will not be assessed for things the home does not have. (You can also look at this same information on line at the computer on the front desk)
Your option in March is to go to the Board of Review to try and get the SEV adjusted. Ask your Realtor for supporting information (comps) to help prove your case. Good luck.

Salvatore,
If your lower flat has been vacant for four months, it is either too high , marginal condition or a combination. I have ten units in Mount Clemens and do not really have any of my units vacant for more than 30 days unless they need extensive repairs.
I do all of my properties on Craigslist, (once in a while a sign) making sure to re post every three days and have no lack of potential tenants. Of course a good percentage of them will not pass the application process but the name of the game is to get multiple potential tenants to choose from.
Good luck.
