Check out Davidson Pointe subdivision in Mooresville. It is close to downtown Davidson and is so beautiful with the water on 3 sides, lake access, pool overlooking the lake, walking trails and great schools. Very safe and quiet. ... more

We're seeing requests for smaller homes, both for budget and a simpler lifestyle. Most common request is to eliminate the formal living room. The formal dining room is also eliminated more often these days. A first floor might commonly contain a large, open kitchen, dining area, and great room, plus a downstairs office.

Each situation is a little different - we are working more and more often with custom floor plans or modifications, even at low to mid range price points.

If your comparing average price in a particular city or zip code to another one, it's likely the averages in Mooresville are higher because of the large number of high end and water front homes currently on the market. I know Weddinton has a lot of high end homes as well, but the amount of homes currently listed is much lower. In any case, it's still a matter of supply and demand. Demand is low so to get a home sold, the price must meet the market conditions. You really never know what a seller is willing to take, so if you see something you like, make a reasonable offer.
