One of my current clients is the ex-Principal of Clifton High School, so I gave him a call. He left in 2006 and at that time, they were and probably still are, the 2nd largest high school in the State. As such, they do not allow additional students from out of district to attend. I would check the current policy by contacting the school district. I would call the Superintendent's Office. Here is the website link with telephone numbers

If you are interested in purchasing a home in the area near Clifton, give me a call and I would be more than happy to assist you in your search.

The Montclair Schools have been recognized as one of the top six magnet school districts in the United States. There is a broad based curriculum which is not offered in many of the neighboring Essex County School Systems and children are welcome to pick and choose what course of study best fits their needs. Work with the school. They are your biggest advocate and have the ability with your support to make a difference. Inquire about the PINS (pupils in need of supervision) program.

It sounds like the stakes are very high and something needs to be done now.....

Good luck

Montclair schools are very good, and very innovative. It is a stable community and beautiful as well. Most of the Bergen county and Essex county suburban schools sytems are very good. I have raised my 4 kids in Teaneck (2 now in college, 2 graduated and working), and found Teaneck's schools to be wonderful. I can name many other communities that would also serve your needs, depending on price range, style of house, proximity to NYC transportation, etc. Give me a call and let's work together! ... more
