Buyer also stated that closing would be past date of Oct 16, but "hopefully before the end of the month" after I told her termination letter was in the mail she said actually mom is just a cosigner, and if we aren't at closing there will be significant costs. 2 real estate lawyers, and 2 real estate agents stated that either her mom being a buyer, or being a cosigner is a change to the buy sell agreement, as well as changing the date. She said her loan officer, and a friend who wrote a book on real estate law told her the buy sell was still legally binding if her mom is a cosigner, even if she changed the info after the agreement was terminated ... more
