In fact, this home went to settlement on May 28th - it looks as if it's been under contract possibly since the beginning of April.
In order to get up-to-date information on houses that are actually available for sale right now, and accurate pricing on those homes, you should really try to set up an online search through a real estate agent. As Sharon mentioned, agents can set you up with an automatic search of the MLS or multiple listing system, based on the specific search criteria that you put in yourself or that you give them over the phone, that comes directly to your own e-mail address whenever new listings come on the market or whenever a price reduction happens on a house that matches your search pattern. Often you can just go to their website and set up the search yourself without even contacting the agent, and then once you see a house you like, you can contact the agent and ask them to set you up with a showing.
This way, you don't end up finding houses you like that have already sold - because often, the information that's on a lot of internet sites is months out of date. The only up-to-date information is on the Multiple Listing System, to which only real estate agents have instant access.......
(I apologize if this sounds like an advertisement for realtors, but I get so many calls from disappointed people asking about houses that have already gone under contract, or already sold....I always feel so bad that the information on the web is not kept updated. I promise that I try to always keep my listing information updated!!)
