I would suggest that you utilize the web sites for real estate agencies that have property management. Right now the inventory is very tight for winter visitors to our area. What are your needs as to home vs appartment, smoking, non smoking, pets, # of bedroows etc

Finding something for that price range especially with pets will pose a huge problem for you. We are currently in a trailer in the desert hills area. The neighbors are proving to be honest and friendly despite the looks of the areas surrounding. Be weary of some of the property manager scares and retaliatory owners whom have flipped the houses for their own profit . Be rest assured they will find a reason to keep your deposit! My suggestion to you is to contact motel 6 on London bridge road and talk to Kay the owner .. While it is not the nicest hotel in havasu... She will charge you a fair monthly rate of around 650.00 the will cater to your pets with room to exercise them in a huge lot next to the hotel. (We had 3 dogs when we stayed there) I would recommend havasu superior storage for storage while you find and see where you want to be. I would highly NOT recommend site unseen or the too good to be true deal... Any other questions let me know I will try to help it was a huge learning curve for my husband and I when we moved here from Iowa learning the hard way ... Most here are salesman of everything expert at none other than their benefit... Good luck, let me know if I can help! ... more

If you are looking for extra room for relatives you might want to consider a home with a casita. Casitas are smaller "homes" on your property. They range from one room to having two small bedrooms. They can be under 500 square feet to over 1000 square feet in size. We also call them in-law quarters. Your price range will make such a rental hard to find. You might find a two bedroom, two bath home that would work for you. ... more

Dear Gloria:

Getting a Realtor would be your first step. Many do not charge a fee for a buyer and my not for a renter either. It is good to have someone to help and represent you.

Hi there,

I'd recommend working with an agent who is an expert on the area and can help you learn more about that specific property. To find an expert agent in the area, just click on the yellow button on the property's listing and you will be able to start a dialogue.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything else. I am happy to be a resource for you. Good luck with the search!
