Is this about Benghazi? Even mentioning impeachment over that is ridiculous. I think Obama is a humanitarian and perhaps not the most business focused president he is still a good one and was voted in. Benghazi was a tragedy and an oversight by someone beneath him, and it should have been handled better when the request for more security was made. That is where the issue lies, not in his verbiage. I don't believe a cover up exists. Is this trulia.com I'm on? lol ... more

Naldo...If you're looking for a general area in which to invest in the US, you should consider the American Caribbean, The Florida Keys. And of the keys, the best place to invest is Key West. I am hoping that anyoen who has seen the REV MRS KATE BRAIN post blow has flagged it as spam. Somehow this trash is still up after 2 days. I'd like to think that something as obvious as a scam and so clearly well written by a foreigner would have been removed from this site by now.
Guess we'll have to see.

Hi Laura,

Depending on the complexity of the deal, your buyer may or may not be able to close in time for the tax credit. I have seen short sales that take as along as a year and that lenders are overwhelmed with short sales and foreclosures to process.

Considering your buyer may have an opportunity to purchase the home at a discounted price that it was not affordable before, your buyer may still end up getting a good deal without the tax credit.

However, with short sales, the time frame window is wide open to anything that could go wrong along the process. Maybe you can show your buyer other homes while he/ she can qualify for financing now.

I work at the Mobile Infirmary Hospital and have also worked at USA campus. While your fiance will be taking many classes on campus, they will also be traveling to the hospitals more in midtown. I live in the Oakleigh area and we have several medical students in the neighborhood. We bought our house in 1999 and it has more than doubled in price since then. I think Oakleigh is a great investment---especially with all the EADS/Brookley jobs and growth. It's a beautiful neighborhood with great neighbors and a fun neighborhood association. I would definitly think about it! I believe there are several houses for sale in Oakleigh right now. We live on Selma St. and love it. ... more

Wow, thanks for all the answers, fellow Realtors.

It is amazing to me that many of you chose this profession due to a bad experience with a previous agent. It's fairly ironic, considering that the crux of my question addressed the perception of many consumers that real estate agents are sharks and lazy, greedy 'used car salesmen'.

And then. Here you are saying that you chose to become a licensed Realtor BECAUSE you dealt with an incompetent self-serving agent!

Thank you again for sharing your stories. I hope you won't mind - I can't choose a "Best Answer" since the answers are so personal and unique to each person.

I would love for consumers to chime in on their bad AND good experiences with Realtors.
