I'm not sure who owns the property-- if it's city land, it might well be stocked. I know fishing in it is very popular right now. I think it's raised the nearby home values, honestly. Everyone loves the pond. | http://ponderosapinescampground.com/amenities.html ... more

If you are referring to the middle of Destin to Miramar Beach I would say about 5 to 7 miles, but they sort of run together. You would be hard pressed to tell where one begins and the other ends except for the county line which will be noted on highway 98. Destin is in Okaloosa county and Miramar Beach is in Walton county. You will be aware when you get your tax bill too as Okaloosa taxes are about double those of Walton county. ... more

There are actually two homes available in Sandestin on this street. Both are similar in size, price and age. The one you selected has been on the market less than one week. Get back to me and we can discuss a showing of either or both. I specialize in this market and can also help with other homes here.

You best resource for accurate information would be to consult a local insurance agent.

I might sound biased but the waters and beaches around Sandestin are the best I have ever experienced. I work with investors interested in buying condo's on the beach. I make sure we visit the beaches each day to drive home the fact that they did not make up the name Emerald Coast. The water is crystal clear right now and the beaches are in the best shape I have ever seen. ... more

My advice to any second home or investment buyers is to get a real good idea of your long term goal. Cash payment or financing plays a good part in that decision. Vacation Rentals are very good seasonally but long term investment housing is in very short supply. Some (read alot) of people need housing but can not buy because of bad credit. ... more
