Hi, Chris!
Yes, the registration process, as indicated below, is a lottery for Fair School as long as your community is in the WMEP.

If you want to get real information about the school and how it works, contact one of the parents organizations.

Good luck!

Hi, jaismith!
Not exactly sure what your question is here. Robbinsdale school system has 2 public high schools. One is Armstrong, the other, Cooper. There used to be a Robbinsdale High School on Hwy. 100 and 36th Ave N., was converted to a language immersion school. Not sure what it's being used for now, but it is no longer a high school.

Does that help??

Good luck~

O boy Brooklyn Park is my specialty and Splits are my backyard. This price point is getting beat up right now pretty badly, so if you are thinking about buying you need to be able to act fast on these houses. They tend to be gone in 2 weeks or less. This one took 12 days.

That means you need to have:

1) Pre-approval from a loan officer. I would suggest trying conventional if you can, because it will help you greatly at this price point. BP has maybe the best DP program around so I may check that out if I were you.

2) A Buyer's agent- We get paid by the seller so it won't cost you anything to work with us, and quite frankly you will need a Realtor when that time comes anyways.

3) The real-time property search- This is the #1 reason why it is good to get hooked up with a Realtor even if you don't plan on buying for awhile. Sometimes I think buyers just believe we are only used at the very end of the transaction but that is not true. Besides getting you on the MLS (so you can get notified of properties like this within minutes of them coming online) we know the best loan officers around for your loan needs.

I think back to when I was looking at homes online and boy was it frustrating! The MLS is a godsend, and it should not shock anyone that Realtors have the best website (it is kinda our job). Save yourself some time and get hooked up with one of us now rather than later. There is a lot of market info I think you would find valuable for Brooklyn Park.

I confess that although I am pretty strong for this city the school district information is not my forte. Therefore if you are going to think about anyone go with Liz Fuller. She helped me with a listing last summer over there and still lives in the area. If you want someone that understands the city and can be a resource to you then I would roll with Liz every time.

Good Luck and Happy House Hunting!

~Chris

Mike Kelcher answered:
Nicky,

The home you were looking at is in the Osseo school district #279.

The seller of this home has entered into a purchase agreement with a buyer and the sale is scheduled to close next week. That's often a problem with the listings here on Trulia and also on other sites which don't have the latest up-to-date info. Way too often I'm contacted by buyers interested in a home that's already sold.

Rather than looking at outdated information, the best choice is to use information from the official MLS site to search for homes. I can help you with that and give you info on all available properties that meet your criteria. Additionally, if something new comes onto the market, I can make sure you get an email right away.

Call me. 763-228-2967

Thanks

Hi, Yesenia!!
Thank you so much, Lisa, for answering this question!!! I believe the property in question is not in Crystal. But, it's helpful for someone like YOU to chime in because we, as agents, are prohibited from answering questions about crime rates by the limitations of our licensure.

It makes sense, because the Dept. of Commerce wants to make sure that people are not buying houses based on what an agent says is OK. It's much better for buyers/renters to do their own research to make sure they feel comfortable where they're buying/renting rather than going on what WE say is acceptable. We don't want to make that determination for you!!!

Good luck~
