First you have to get pre-approved for a mortgage with a bank, credit union, etc. You have to get this done prior to making an offer on a home. All sellers will want to see that you have been approved for a mortgage before considering accepting your offer. Next, you'll actually put the offer together by filling out a purchase contract and submitting that to the seller. There are a few other documents that are to be submitted with your offer.
