It depends on WHERE in Mill Valley you are commuting from. I live in the Tamalpais Valley area of Mill Valley which is the furthest south. If you live downtown Mill Valley you would add 5-10 mins to the commute. If you lived up the mountain, add a little more.

The problem I have in the city is not the drive (especially from the southern part of Mill Valley) but parking. If you work at the hospital I am sure you would have parking provided.

Basically, we found that when we moved to Marin in 1981, our commute was shorter than from our apartment in Pacific Heights to work South of Market!
