Christine I'm sorry to hear this. There are so many variables that could have come into play here. The state of Ohio's loan policy, the bank through which you got the loan and the bank that foreclosed on the house. From what I can tell with the information provided the manufacture home could be putting a hard hit on your credit and due to that creating problems for the bank in order to allow you to move forward. Hard hits (as the name implies) do take longer to be removed from your credit report, however there might be a way to expedite it getting removed or at least getting a signed authorization document to the bank and/or credit bureau in order to allow you to move forward. I would recommend getting in this information documented and sent to your legal adviser and/or lender asap so they can help to provide additional information. I wish I could be of more assistance in this matter, but it seems very problematic. To answer where or not you should wait or go to another bank, in my personal opinion I would wait after you have gone to the legal adviser/lender so you do not potentially put more hits on your report as this sounds like a very fragile situation.
