It is probably for yearly servicing. The furnace should be serviced once a year for it to work properly and not backfire. It could also be that it is a leased item not owned. Who knows, since you are a tenant, he can charge what he wants on his lease agreement as long as it's not illegal. When you go look at the boiler, there should be a record right on it (a sticker) that lists any repairs or general services with the dates on it. When a company comes out, it is recorded on the item. Look around the boiler and see...then at least you have something to go back to your landlord with. Good luck!! ... more

I recommend checking your credit on Credit Karma since that is free. This will at least give you a ballpark on your FICO score. If you are at 600 or above, you should be okay for a rental. If you are dramatically less then work on bringing up your score as much as possible for starters and then your next best bet is to have a strong work history and referrals. I am working with some renter with lower scores and I always have some backup plans to up the odds of getting a rent. If you would like, feel free to message me and I can tell you more! ... more

That's a huge tree! It's not going to be cheap, but it will probably raise your property values to have something like that removed. I'd call around a few difference companies and have them give you estimates. Then you can decide who to go with from there. http://www.brandywinetree.net/ ... more

Hello Jerry,
Jack hit the nail on the head in reference to Caswell Cove. He said: "Most water front property rebounds quicker than any other and tends to hold its' value better."
This being said, "buying right" is also really important. I am the list agent of a Short Sale in Caswell Cove.
If you wish to "buy right" contact me!

Are you asking how much should you make an offer for? Have you seen the property yet? If you would like I can set up a showing for you and bring along some comparable sales so you can have an educated idea of where to start in terms of offer to purchase.

Good Morning!
I agree Trulia and Zillow are advertising sites and "estimates" on both sites are usually not accurate. What you really need is a Comparative Market Analysis for your home from a local agent. I would be more than happy to give you one! You contact me at (203) 558-7720 or heather.crabtree@cbmoves.com,

Yes you can. Although your income may be able to help debt t income ratios and get a better rate or qualify you for more (although this may push you out of your comfort zone). Your best bet is to speak directly to a reputable lender experienced in CHFA loans. I have closed several CHFA loans with Marion Szarzynski from Homebridge her cell is (203) 768-5098.
If you have more questions feel free to email me at heather.crabtree@cbmoves.com or call at (203) 558-7720.
