Congrats on taking steps to become a home owner! One of your key first steps in the home buying process is to hire a REALTOR as your Buyer's Agent. He/she can take you to see any homes that are available within your search criteria. Keep in mind, the listings you see here on Trulia (and other so called "real estate" websites such as Zillow and Realtor.com) do NOT have accurate info! These sites are just marketing sites and shouldn't replace your search in the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) with a Realtor. Especially foreclosures. Just because it's listed here under "Foreclosures" doesn't mean it's necessarily available to purchase. RealtyTrac likes to list bogus "foreclosure" listings, when in reality they just want you sign up for their "Free" list of foreclosures. There is no such magical list. Any Realtor with access to your local MLS can show you any and all foreclosures that are available. I'd be careful about buying a foreclosure. They often have lots of issues and will require lots of $$ for repairs. Good luck!
