Neil Roxas answered:
Hello,

We display property information on Trulia to provide consumers with transparent real estate information. We receive this information from public records gathered by a third-party data collector from your county. Our mission is to empower consumers with information and tools to make smart decisions about homes, real estate and mortgages. For this reason, we do not remove public record property information from Trulia.

You have the ability to edit your home facts that appear in the Owner Information section. Please follow these instructions on how to edit your home facts. This includes editing the number of bedrooms/bathrooms, square footage, home features, description and more.

Sign into your Trulia account. If you do not have an account, you must first register in order to update your home facts.

If you haven't already claimed your home, navigate to the property page, go to the "Edit Home Facts " button and verify ownership.

If you have claimed your home, click on the same "Edit Home Facts" button to update your home facts.

Make sure to select Publish Updates at the bottom of the page.

Sally Grenier answered:
Do NOT rely on Trulia's numbers. The only way to get an accurate market value for your home is to talk to a local Realtor who can do a comparative market analysis (CMA) for you. The numbers you see here and on Zillow and Realtor.com are notoriously inaccurate. The data here (and those other sites) are based on some random algorithm that doesn't take in account things like location, upgrades, etc. ... more

Hi,

Much of the sale information reported on sites such as Trulia come from public records. Agents that belong to the regional MLS are required to supply information including date of sale, price and any concessions in a timely fashion, I admit I do not know what the time frame is as I update the MLS as soon as possible. As the listing agent I then go into Trulia and manually enter the sales information myself. Not all agents provide this level of service to their clients. ... more
