Certainly not off the property taxes you owe, property taxes on an average priced home are half of that amount. Property tax exemptions are exactly that, you are exempted to pay taxes on that amount of your property assessed value.

When it comes to questions regarding the safety/crime statistics of a neighborhood, community or area, the only advice a real estate agent should give you is to contact the local police or sheriff's office with your questions or to look up the crime statistics on web sites that provide that type of information.

Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent (or not) in specific neighborhoods. Doing so could potentially be considered a violation of the national Fair Housing Act.

Here are a couple of sites that provide statistics on crimes that may be helpful:

As a mother of two girls who were born here in Miami, I can tell you first hand just how much this city has to offer for children.

Ice skating, sailing lessons, museums, after school programs, movies in the park, bowling, and bike riding, educational outings.

First you need to confirm with your building that this is feasible. If in fact it is than you would need to know what the terms are. Lastly, hire an agent who cam recommend a price point that will move the property quickly as not loose one month of rent.
