Mesquite Nevada is a strong real estate market right now. Usually, we see a decrease in buyer inquiries starting in April. It is hot in the summer, and we just do not have the visitor volume that we see in the sunny winter months.
So far, I am seeing as much activity as in Oct - Nov, historically, the start of the busy real estate season as well as the tourist and snow bird season. Last year, we did not really slow down in the summer - for the first time, since I moved here in 2005.
Our listing inventory is very low, especially in some neighborhoods. I actually have a waiting list of buyers for a few neighborhoods - which shows that the demand is higher than normal.
Real estate is local, not just to a city, but right down to the neighborhoods.
Because of our normally slow market in the summer, some sellers will wait until fall to list their home. That may be a mistake - the summer buyers are usually more motivated to select a home.
