I am having the same issues in bergen county, and this is outrageous. I am calling Fair Housing on Monday about a few particular discriminatory situations which i suggest, and just keep looking. My time is running thin and its very discouraging. Please any TRA units in bergen county or do i have to switch counties or jurisdictions and do i even have time for that at this point? I wish I could help , I am in need of help as well been looking for months, I can't find any places that will accept or not discriminate. 2017 August, please contact me or leave a post if anyone has info. ... more

At least $2,500 for a 2 bedroom in the borough. The borough has some real advantages if you have high school age children.

Both of our children graduated from Princeton High School. We found the best thing about living in the boroough with teenagers is that they almost never asked to used the car or be taken anywhere. They were able to walk to school and do almost everything they wanted to do including going to New York frequently on the train completely on their own. They found that a care in a busy congested area like Princeton tends to be more of an impediment than a help.

It made them both every independent and self-confident at a very early age. Both of them went on to college in London and thrived there as a result of both their education at PHS and their learned ability to cut to cord to the parents early. Neither ever expressed any homesickness and thrived for their entire undergraduate careers using the subways and trains in Europe.

definitely not allowed and definitely a rule that has been and likely still is being broken. That said, landlords would never allow a tenant to have pets when not allowed by bylaws. This would open them up to fines from assoc and grounds for a suit from tenant. (often they dont allow in sfd homes where would be allowable) ... more
