If you want to live in a more safer place, I would recommend Atwater, it's only about 15-20 minutes away from there and I've never encountered any trouble.

Ask your real estate agent. More importantly, why did they deny your loan? Maybe it can be saved at another lender?

Ozvps,
We're not attorneys, but generally the terms that are in writing are the ones that each party is obligated to unless they mutually agree otherwise.
You can ask them to show you where they have the right to back out, but I doubt they or anyone can find it.
You may need an attorney before your done. Only they can review your contract and give you specific advice.

Hello Eagleo1a, are you looking for VA financing in CA or Arizona? I am only licensed in CA and am not familiar with Arizona real estate or mortgage laws or guidelines.

If you are buying here in CA you may qualify for VA or CalVet zero down payment purchase loan programs. I am also a Veteran and love assisting Veterans.

If you figure out what cities/zip codes you are considering, minimum number of bedrooms and the maximum payment you are looking to achieve you can be emailed listings to study and compare.

It only takes a few dozen questions to qualify, go over your options and email you listings to study and compare. Here are some links to study as well as web reference links to many loan program pages offered...

Yes most lenders have 10% down jumbo programs available. If your son newly employed out of school he should be able to use his income right away to qualify.

Terry Bell answered:
What you are saying, is that the house was purchased in another family member's name and they qualified for the loan and you are making the payments. Was that done with only verbal agreement, or did you get it in writing. It sounds like you didn't have any plan of what was to happen in the future. I suggest that you retain a real estate attorney to help you sort this out, as to whether you would like to be added to the title or have the other family member sell the home to you. Most attorneys have a free half hour consultation to talk to them. ... more

Hi Chris,

I don't think you're going to have much success trying to negotiate a home price on this website. Your best bet is to call an agent and write up an offer.

Good luck.
