Your listing agent can modify the information on your Trulia listing through their Trulia account, if it hasn't already sold.

Trulia Customer Service answered:
Hi Chuck, Carol at Trulia here! I have confirmed your new listing is claimed to your account and your Open House is scheduled for 9/8/13. As Sherri said before me, it can take up to 24 hours for changes to your listings to update on Trulia. Your listing is currently displaying the open house even though it shows "edits processing" on your My Listings page.

If you have additional questions, please contact us at or call Customer Service at 1-888-466-3501.

Don Tepper answered:
Contact the government agency that's managing the public record. That's usually your local tax assessor's office. You can probably find not only the contact information online, but also your tax record...which likely contains the inaccurate information.

However, if you do that keep in mind that it could possibly result in higher real estate taxes. Let's say the tax records show your house as a 3 bedroom/1.5 bath home. But it's actually a 4 bedroom/2 bath home. That means your house is probably worth more than the tax assessor's office currently thinks it is. Therefore, your assessment might go up and, consequently, your taxes.

Hope that helps.

Yes, the first thing you need to do is hire a real estate agent in your area who knows how to BEST market your Home! Your home goes into the MLS,, Trulia, Zillow,, Hotpads, Tour Factory, and and are optimized with up to 36 photos of your home, Search Engine Optimization, long tail and short tail searches, surveys, disclosures, and virtual tours. MLS receives the most exposure, next and down the line are real estate agent's websites and then social media. If you want the most exposure, I would use social media (Craigslist, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc) to help market your home. Print materials and farming materials help market your home as well as virtual tours which are linked to 28 other websites if you do it correctly. Please email me at or call me at 704-560-9630 and I will be m ore than happy to answer any more questions you may have. ... more

Hi Diane,

The answers below are correct. Trulia doesn't automatically receive all MLS listings. However your mother's agent can easily submit her home to us via the link below. The process is quick and easy, and her listing should be live on our site within one hour.

Hi Famalae,

Thank you for alerting us about this. Anna gave you a good answer below. We have no power to remove postings from Craigslist, so they are the ones who need to be notified.

Also, please keep in mind that Trulia is not a broker and doesn't actually list properties for sale. Rather, we are a search engine that hosts property and listing information submitted to us by brokers and agents.

As other agents stated, Trulia gets the iformation from other sources, not 100% accurate but for a free ballpark it does have some value as does

FYI if you want to look at houses available and for sale I suggest contacting a local agent or Realtor. Most of the time there is no cost to you as the buyer, worth looking into and they can help you fine tune your search to help you find the one you are interested in.

Best of luck.

We're actually testing some new versions of our search results page and unfortunately this information is missing on some of these versions. Hi Alyce,

Thank you for your question. At this time we don't have a pending status for listings. Once a listing is shown as pending it should be removed from our search results. If you're finding that isn't the case, please let us know which of your listings is pending so we can investigate further. You can post that information here or you can access the link below to send that information to our Customer Service team.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Best Wishes,
