If you don't already have a realtor you are working with, you should find someone that can help you navigate the market in the bay area! Often homes are put on the market for reasonable prices, only to end up with multiple bidding and a final price way above asking. This is where an experience realtor in your area can review recent sales in this price range to see on average what the comps are and what percentage above asking price they are usually selling for. Also your agent can talk to the listing agent before writing your offer to see if there is deadline for making offers, and whether they already have offers.

I JUST SOLD THAT HOUSE!!!!!!!!

It was a beautiful house. Absolutely perfect. 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, the home inspection revealed it was perfect. Everything was new.
It was quite small, 1200 square feet.

If you want me to help you find a deal like that, please contact me!

Looking at the comps, the price is not really out of line for the area, size and visual property condition. As with most properties, the price is usually negotiable and must appraise if there is a loan involved. As others have mentioned, you would be best suited to consult your agent and if interested, view the property, get a full market analysis and write your offer accordingly.

Best of luck to you and your real estate search

Hello Donna,

That is a great question to ask your real estate agent. The home may have been priced low in order for the seller to receive multiple offers, and choose the one with the best terms. You can go here to find out an approximate value of a home at the link below. When you arrive there go to the bottom of the page where a map of the United States will appear and then enter a home address. Here's the link: http://vflm007.wix.com/von007#!whats-my-home-value/cvqy .

I hope this helps!

Von
