I will agree, it is a bit less expensive in Cedar. However Cedar will receive snow, St George will not. This may be a consideration for you. I suppose you will have to consider what each area will offer in the way of amenities, stores, medical and proximity to other areas of interest. I would suggest a visit to each area to have a look around. Best of luck to you.

The short answer to your question is that prices in the Cedar City area are generally quite a bit lower. Of course a lot depends on what price range you're looking in and what amenities you like. You dollar will typically go further in Cedar City than in St. George. Now is a really good time to buy in either area as there is enough inventory to afford buyers very good choices, and I'm seeing some good deals!
