When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

The market in Bushwick is booming right now. It is very much a seller's market. Property value is sky rocketing because the Williamsburg renaissance is moving it's way East to Bushwick and Bedford Stuyvesant. In terms of safety, I always suggest to do some research and contact the local Police Precinct for more information on the crime rates of the area to gather a better understand of what is going on in any neighborhood that you are considering a move to.

Dear Corinne:

This is a very subjective question and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. If you are considering living in the area, or any area for that matter, you need to research it out and make sure that it is good for YOU! Do research on Google and visit the local police precinct to get crime statistics. Real Estate wise, most parts of Brooklyn are experiencing appreciation right now.

If I can be of further assistance please let me know. Good luck!
