The building has a 24 hour staffed security guard/gate.Buidling is accessed by key. Never have known anyone to have a problem in this complex. Having said that you always must lock your cars, and watch your things no matter what neighborhood you live in--especially in South Florida!

I would estimate the crime rate to be low-average, as compared to other similar sized and density suburb type communities. Detailed statistics can be found at:

While these stats may look a bit high, keep in mind this is comparing Lauderhill to all areas of the country, including vast expanses of low density midwest, and western locales. A much more true picture would show if Lauderhill were compared to the average mid density suburb instead. Because of that, these stats may make Lauderhill appear less safe. My opinion after living in the area for the past several years is that it is generally very safe, and family oriented, and, like everywhere else, it has its small pockets of problem areas...
