how is the market value for townhomes in bucktown compared to river north, west loop, and near north.?

The price points between townhomes in these area are extremely different, I think there is good value but limited inventory depending on the area. So the question is what are you looking for and whats your price point so I can tell you what the market value for those are.

I would imagine that you would find the best value in West Loop. This all depends on the streets as specific streets reach higher values over others. What are you looking for exactly?

All these areas are popular and have been acting well if priced right. The market has clearly changed to start to favor the seller or at least be neutral. There are lots of variables to consider and I would have to know more details as to what you want to be more helpful. There are not many townhouses in some of these areas depending on your price point. There is also River West/Wicker/Lincoln Park to possibly consider.

Not sure what you are asking. Are you asking how prices there compare to other communities or are you asking what direction prices are moving? If you'd like to know about market conditions in Chicago and in those areas specifically you can go to http://ChicagoHousingStats.com and towards the bottom are links to some market information on specific neighborhoods. The health of a market is a function of how much inventory is a available on a months of supply basis. A low months of supply is indicative of strong demand relative to supply. You can also look at time on market.

Its all relative to the actual location in that particular area as well as the layout. All these areas are strong right now for properties that show well and are priced right. Id say right now the highest would be River North for a townhome though.
