Hi Collette, well I am not an expert on Lighthouse point, but here are some numbers:
July 08 there is 38 months of inventory down from Novemebr 07 of 58 months. Average price per sq foot is $188 dollars down from $299 perr sq ft fromt the summer of 07. Days on market are down from roughly 144 days to 90 days, but this number is relatively new. Sold price versus list price is 88% which is pretty consistent for the past 6-9 months. Average sale price of homes are between $280,000 to $295,000 dollars. Now this information is for zipcode 33064. I know there is another zipcode 33074, which I do not have that information for. Collette, I hope this helps.

Dear Collette,

THe market is great...and properties are really starting to move here in Lighthouse Point.

Lighthouse Point is wonderful, and there are some amazing deals on the water or off the water that you can pick up right now for an incredible price. It's a great time to purchase in Lighthouse Point if you have done so.

If you need help finding the perfect home for you, let me know!
Sincerely yours,
Jen Sommers

LHP is a diamond in the rough! If you blink while driving North or south on US1, you could miss it. But if you happen to turn east between Copans and Sample, you're in for a suprise. Great Homes, in a very private area that is quiet and family oriented. Being a former resident, I am very familiar with the area and would recommend it highly. If you are still looking, let me know if I can help. Thanks,

Wow this is question is out of the archives but see how time flies.
Light House Point is a place most people like to live and today it is more affordable than ever.
Water, water everywhere and some have more than others in their back yard with a boat tied to it.
Some have yachts and dinghies or just a paddle boat. There are mansions and homes and bungalows and condos too . Waterfront living comes on all shapes and sizes starting from as low as $95,000- to the millions.
So you don’t have to be a millionaire just live like one.

Hi Collette,
I live in Lighthouse Point and like everywhere else the market is slow but there are some wonderful values if you are a buyer. Lighthouse Point is a beautiful area with many waterfront homes and community parks etc.. The city has it's own Police and Fire depts. so it is a pretty safe area too. They have a great summer camp for kids, a sailing camp and various events throughout the year...Halloween, Easter, Founders Day and more. There is also a community bus that will pick you up & drop you off in various locations for free so all things considered it's a great location to live in northern Broward Co. If you'd like more details on the city or more details about the best areas etc. please feel free to contact me any time!
Kindest regards,

Hello Collette - it all depends. If you are a Buyer it is a great time to buy anywhere in Broward County. On the other hand, if you are a Seller, not a good time as you will be competing against bank owned properties and short sales. Let us know if you are looking at the market as a Buyer or Seller. I'm sure you will receive a lot of opinions as to how the market is doing in Lighthouse Point.
