Yes, the season started a lot earlier this year due to the mild weather. It will be interesting to see how long the "spring season" lasts. The market has been very busy fingers crossed it stabilizes permanently.

It already has impacted it insofar as buyers came out early because of the nice weather. That is the only impact and it has already happened. It is a strong Spring market and it will likely continue as long as current economic conditions continue. A little bit of good news on a regular basis is making our buyer more comfortable with buying. It also helps that rents are climbing this year with less rental units available. It's a good time to go out and buy right now.

Houses are flying. I am looking at multiple offer situations and buyers are out looking.

Whether it's the good weather, low interest rates or a general feeling of confidence in the local economy, who knows for sure- probably a combination of these and other factors- but the market so far this year in many areas is booming.

Unfortunately, buyers can expect to pay slightly higher prices due to lack of inventory and frequent multiple offer situations. For one reason or another, many home owners are not selling and it is creating a seller's market.

Buyers need to do their homework and get to know the inventory and values in their locations of choice. Acting quickly when the right property comes along is the key to success, and having a buyer agent who can let you know when a suitable property hits the market, and work with you to make your offer as attractive as possible, is very important.

Can't speak for the location that your looking in, but my market is crazy, there are multi offers, some over asking.

But it doesn't have anything to do with the mild winter. its demand, interest rates, stock market rebound and more job security.

Absolutely! Here on Cape Cod, the weather has allowed visitors from out of the area to easily view properties. Our sales are up and our pendings strong. Whether or not it is just the expected volume moved earlier or new added business will play out as the closings continue.

Yes. Buyers are out already. The Spring market has started early. In fact, in many markets, there is a shortage of quality listings.

No. Rates and other economic factors are the biggest things that influences the market. Btw I think the concept of a spring market is a myth. Homes are bought and sold throught the year.
