It was a transfer within a family. One person in the family was paid $135,000 to get off of title.

It did sell for over $500k in 2008, but it is not listed in the MLS for the sale in 2010. It is also not listed in RealtyTrac as a foreclosure or short sale. I see there is no agent listed in the Trulia listing, so there is no one to contact to confirm the sale. I also checked active listings in this neighborhood in Mountain View and found similar properties going for about $250k.
It could be that this is a transfer from parent to child or other intra-family sale, or it could just be a scam.
