Keep in mind that square footage costs do vary, and don't account for location and other considerations; therefore, it's really in your best interest to also review closed recently sold similar properties in the immediate area, and their final sales price...

To see the most recent reports on the New York City area as well as Westchester/Putnam and Long Island go to the Elliman reports at http://www.elliman.com/reports-and-guides/reports/new-york-c…

Shara,

The average price per sqft on the upper east side will depend on what you are specifically looking for. Depending on what style of space you are looking for the average price per sq ft may vary anywhere from $10-200 PSFT. All the numbers below seem to be correct so you have a good reference from experienced agents in the area.

The average sales price per SF of a coop unit on the Upper East Side during the 3Q of 2013 was $1,060, which is only 2% higher than a year ago.

Condominium sale price during 3Q of 2013 was $1,398/PSF, 9% increase compare to the same time of 2012.

According to the latest Elliman report, coops are averaging $1050 a SF and condos are averaging a little under $1400 per SF. You can see the full report with trends as a pdf at http://www.elliman.com/reports-and-guides/reports/new-york-c…

This varies by each building and the price of the last apt sold.

That would depend on if it is a condo or a coop, and the level of services in the building.
