This is an old question but right now ,Summer 2013, the Midwood Rental Market is hot. It is hard to find an available unit and now is a great time to purchase rentals. Companies from all across the country are buying up rental properties to hold while values go up. If you are thinking of buying a rental house give Savvy + Co. a call, we are experts in Midwood and can help you find the perfect investment property.

The Charlotte market as seen an increase in rental rates in the last 8 months. People are having a hard time selling and still having trouble buying. Our company has not had a home stay on the market in the Charlotte are for more then 30 days. We have increased our rent rates by 10% as well. I would be happy to help you with any other questions. http://www.themissionmanagementgroup.com

Hard to say.............like Scott said, Midwood is a desirable area. However, most would say uptown is also, and it's facing a 20% vacancy rate right now. A recent national poll placed Charlotte at #15th most empty city (most empty units). Rental rates have also declined. You still might do okay, but thought I would give you a snapshot of what's happening right now. I'll keep my ears open for you in case I run across someone looking to rent near there.

Trina-

Midwood is a desirable neighborhood where people always want to move in. I live on Morningside Dr and would love to advise you on the current rental market and what you may be able to get for your home. Feel free to contact me to set up a time to go over the details. I look forward to it. Visit http://www.UptownEvolution.com for contact info.
