The Florida Supreme Court shot down curfew law for minors under the age of 16 so no juvenile faces arrest since it was ruled unconstitutional in 2002. The law for curfews went into effect in the 1990's then there was a 91 page ruling at the state level that curfews were too broad so this ordinance has not bee enforced.

Interestingly enough after black juvenile males were committing armed robberies of patrons including tourists hitting the famous bars in Ybor City in Tampa the Tampa City Council passed another curfew just for Ybor City. It bans anyone younger than 18 (at age 18 you may enter some drinking clubs tho' you're not served until age 210 Thursday - Saturday from 11:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m. Violators will get a No Trespassing Order for six month face a fine of $500.00 or receive six months of probation.

Bay Walk another watering hole in St. Pete. minors must be with an adult watching a movie or eating at an restaurant or engaging in a wholesome activity or face arrest.

In Hawaii (check your state for each curfew) the curfew for minors under 16 years of age 10:00 p.m. 16 & older is midnight 7 days a week.

Kit May, in simple terms it limits the time that a young driver can be out driving around during the week and on weekends.

For example, if a 16 year old driver was out driving around at 3am, this is beyond the juvenile curfew.

Here is an excellent explanation from eHow,

Under the Florida model curfew law, a minor may not remain in a public place from Sunday to Thursday, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. or between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday. If a minor is found in a public place during the restricted days and times, he will be warned. Any subsequent violation will result in a fine of $50. If a minor is arrested as a result of violating the curfew, his parents will be notified. If the minor's parents cannot be notified, the minor may either be transported to his residence by a law enforcement officer or transported to holding facility. The model curfew law also allows for several exemptions from the

Typically, under aged individuals need to be off the main streets prior to 10 pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends. Verify times with the city/town police.

Hope this helps

Not in Tampa John the Supreme Court ruled curfews were unconstitutional. Then tons of black teen armed thugs would rob the patrons mostly tourists after bar hopping in Ybor City at the famous bars. Ybor City is 100% black back in the 1970's it was the ONLY area blacks could live back then & still live in the Ybor City a ghetto. Tons of bars even gay bars plus famous ones like Coyote Ugly blues bars Green Iguana. Every night shootings happen lately INSIDE the bars that allow under age 21 to hang out. Tampa City Council passed an ordinance just for Ybor City for a special curfew just for this district. Look at my answer above. I moved to Hawaii where like you said every state is different. Aloha
