Actually, the fees at Venice Golf & Country Club have just changed, effective August 16, 2013.

First, there is a Master Association fee for everyone - $1800 per year.

Then, there are neighborhood fees ranging from $570 to $625 per quarter.

There is also a required social equity membership for everyone, which entitles you to use of the golf course and tennis facilities six times a year, with full privileges to use the community pool, fitness center, and clubhouse with restaurant and cocktail lounge.

That's just $5000 ONE TIME, with $100 in reserved equity, and an annual $2894 in fees, plus annual $838 reserve funding per household.

Recreational membership provides unlimited use of tennis, golf six times per year, and full use of the clubhouse and amenities.

That's $7500 ONE TIME, with $100 in reserved equity, $3727 in annual fees plus the $838 annual reserve funding.

Finally, a full equity golf membership is $10,000, with $100 reserved equity, plus $1221 in annual fees, and $1221 in annual reserve funding.

Let me know what neighborhood you are looking at, specifically, and I can confirm that quarterly fee for you.

This is a gorgeous community with a great golf course, upscale clubhouse, and perfect location off Center Road - probably about 10 minutes to Sharky's on the Beach.

I live and work in Venice and am happy to be a local resource for you.

Thanks for asking.

Venice Golf & Country Club is a private member-owned equity Club, with all 587 Single Family Homes participating in the ownership at a minimum of Social Member status. VGCC is a gorgeous, very social gated community, financially stable, and has recently completed extensive renovations without requiring assessments from the members.

Regarding Fees for 2013, the least you will pay to join the VGCC Lifestyle is, last published:
*CLUB FEES: A one time equity fee (refundable at least 80-100+%) is required at the Social level of approx. $10000 and then +/-$3000-$4000 yr dues & reserves. Tennis and Golf are higher, of course
*MASTER ASSOCIATION: $1800 for each home
If the home is located in a MAINTENANCE FREE neighborhood, then approx $600/Qtr pays for maintenance fees. The home on Melrose is located in a completely maintenance-free neighborhood.

One more thing, it is not uncommon for people to downsize or upsize their homes within this little community....it is a really special place!

Best of Luck,
Nancy
