This house is overpriced for the homes in this area. Most of these homes were built in the 1960's. That's why the home is still on the market.

Guess that rules out DeKalb as a possible destination for this home buyer. Most of our homes were built in the 1960s - pretty dang good consttuction methods and materials - in fact- they may be around longer than some of the stuff I have seen that was built in the 1990s.

The price of a home is only one reason why homes don't sell in a timely manner. Since an experienced and knowledgable agent is stating that it is indeed underpriced, it would be fair to assume there is more to this than meets the eye.

Thank you for your message, Bridgett. This fabulous, well-built, Chatham home is an exceptional, 5 Bedroom, all brick home in the area with very spacious rooms on a beautiful level lot. There is a heated swimming pool, in-ground hot tub, three car garage, separate Garden House, and a lower level with a Teen/Au Pair Apartment These are just a few of the features that set this wonderful home apart from most of the other homes in the area.

It has been very well maintained and is move-in ready, but it definitely could use updating. If you like the home, you are always welcome to make a lower offer and begin a negotiating process with the Seller. I do appreciate your comments, and I hope you will want to visit the home and the area sometime and see it for yourself. It is a great home in a wonderful area!!!!

Thank you,
Cindy Edwards

Hi Bridgett,
You are always free to offer less than the list price of any home. Of course, it is always up to the seller to reject, counter, or not respond to any offer submitted for their consideration.
