Is the Dunean neighborhood going up in value?

Asked by charlottewoodwind, Greenville, SC Mon Jul 15, 2013

I was looking at the neighborhood of Dunean near downtown Greenville. (For example, something like 65 Allen St). The prices in that neighborhood are very low right now, but some surrounding neighborhoods have much higher prices. Do you think that neighborhood will increase in price and will attract people who are going to take good care of the houses?

Downtown Greenville is becoming more and more popular and following that popularity are higher prices! While it's safe to say that Greenville's growth will continue and prices will continue to rise, it's best to use your own judgement when purchasing a home in an area that you are unsure about! Trends suggest that prices will rise in general in that area, however if the neighborhood is older, less taken care of, etc. there may not be an increase. Touring the area with a licensed agent is the best way to find your best investment.
