As stated below, a realtor can give you a "book" value or approximation as of a specific date. They will need your exact address and the level of amenities at that time.

Best way to do that would be to have a Retrospective Appraisal done. I am an appraiser and an agent - I do retrospective appraisals frequently. It has many factors involved in the process and can be very informative. A good appraiser will also look at the your market trends since 2008 (in Oakland Hills the values have mostly stayed even or gone UP in that area).

The VALUE of your home was never determined in 2008, unless it was SOLD!

You might be able to determine a close Market Value by having a kind and willing Realtor do a CMA, using the other houses that WERE sold around that time.

Just to prepare you; they're going to ask you why you would want to know; it has absolutely no relevancy to today's VALUE.
