If you go to http://www.rentals.com and choose the criteria of what you are looking to rent you can get a good idea of what people are asking for in that area. If you are looking to rent out a property, the best thing to do( aside from consulting a Realtor) is to place an ad in the paper without a price. When people call on the ad, ask them what they are looking to pay, that will give you a good idea of the market rate for your kind of rental. Hope that helps.

visit http://www.rentometer.com, and plug in an address that you know of in the area.
