The home you are inquiring about has traded hand a couple times over the past 15 months and is once again on the market. A perfect example of why buyers need to have complete information so they can make a knowledgeable decision when buying, or selling, real estate. I see no foreclosure activity so not sure what your question is relating to. While close to the historic El Cid neighborhood the property is actually just a block south of the "official" southern border. El Cid actually ends one block to the north at Dyer Road.

The home sold back on November 8th of 2012 for $225,000. After that the history gets a little confusing and if you are looking into a potential purchase need to do some research. Public records show a sale in August of 2013 for $375,000. What is interesting is the home was listed for sale on March 1st of 2013 for $459,000 and it is still active on the Multiple Listing Service at that price. So after 329 days on the market with a "sale" in the middle of the listing period is a bit strange. The home has been remodeled with impact glass, new kitchen and baths and many other upgrades. The property you asked about was sold. As for foreclosures in El Cid, or in any areas that are considered to be high value real estate, all foreclosures will be subject to multiple bid. Typically banks do not respond immediately to offers. If you submit an offer, expect to pay above the asking price, because banks tend to sell foreclosed properties to the buyer who makes the highest and best offer.
