Traditionally, the Fairhope Area has been very strong. The BP Spill changed that, and times were tough for many months. People, places and things are recovering and it seems there is more activity in real estate and things are certainly looking up.
According to the Baldwin County MLS 154 houses have sold and closed so far in 2012. 34 were foreclosures. 6 were short sales. 20 were new construction. So 94 were existing, non foreclosure, non short sale properties. I don't know how that compares to the rest of the state, but with less than 25% of the sales being foreclosures I think that is pretty good.
