Are we getting close to an inventory shortage on Longmont's east side?

Asked by Suz A, Longmont, CO Sun Jun 6, 2010

Shadow Grass in Longmont (off east 17th) is showing few signs of life. Anyone know if another developer has been lined up? Some good looking - but few - properties on market right now. Wondering if sales people did too good a job of getting homes sold before the tax credit deadline. Fewer for sale signs were in evidence on a tour of the Wolf Creek and Sundance neighborhoods. Overall, yards are looking nice!

UPDATE ....

Update on Shadowgrass: Richmond American Homes is building on the sites and by all appearances doing a good job. Toured the homes on a walk from my home. I like the exterior design. I'll go back when the sales person is in the office to take a look. Welcome back Richmond!

Buyers, there are six open houses today. Trulia says 819 homes were sold recently. There are 776 homes on the market.

The weather is getting nicer. It will be time to flip on the sprinkler systems soon and things will be greening up and blossoming. Maybe a few more signs will sprout, too!

Hey Longmont, there are 55 new listings since last week. The average listing price is off slightly from last year. Inventory is still anemic as we head into the traditionally strong buying season.
