Any opinions about purchasing a rent house in the area between forest, royal, 75 and greenville?

Good area, I think it just depends on the deal and what price you will pay versus your expected rent. Also who is your target tenant? Rumors of a wholesale buyout of Hamilton Park are still around so there is land/development interest in the area as well.

Overall, rental property is a great long term investment. This area has a lot going for it as it is in RISD (which is a great school district), the values have had decent appreciation in the last few years and with the new Towne Center going in at Skillman and Walnut Hill, it could be a great investment.

There are also some GREAT foreclosures in that area single family homes or condo
