Hi Lhmadison,

Most importantly, are you looking to rent in a specific school district?.....Do you need a home, apartment, duplex.....size,price,location,children are come into play. In the Madison area rentals are on a all-time high. Monthly rates are up and single family home applications are not so easy to come by. Month to month rentals are not as available as one would think. Be prepared to sign a 6month or 1 year term. You may have luck renting a home that has not sold and a seller will consider a rental over the fall/winter months. Craig's List is a good source, the UW-Madison has a rental board, realtors, CCL Management......many options. Do not rent without viewing your options.
