Trulia and the other sites are a good start. Also, google " Real estate". Usually the local agents that are paying to advertise online are closing a majority of the business in the area. From their, look up their profile on trulia or another major realtor site. That said, high production doesn't always show you who is the best...References from the 2 most recent closed deals are something I always provide that I think is a better scale. If they give a buyer/seller the names and contact info of two most recent closings and they are within the last couple weeks and give you a 5 star referral you should feel comfortable... ... more

Good question.....Luckily the market has been improving!
Wisconsin home sales rose an impressive 11.4 percent in the first six months of 2013 compared to last year, according to recent statistics compiled by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA). In June alone, Wisconsin home sales were up 3.1 percent relative to last June, posting the 24th straight month of positive sales growth in the state. Median prices also continued to increase year-to-date, rising 7.7 percent to $140,000 compared to the first half of 2012. In June, prices were up 12.3 percent to $159,500 compared to June 2012.

As far as how long it takes, it will depend on how well it's priced, the condition, the location, etc
I just listed a home for $400K, had an open house.....75 people came through, 2 offers the next day and still are getting calls on it....The sellers are delighted!

I'd be happy to come out and talk about your home if you are considering selling!

Whoa...a realtor who does sell condos! Stop the presses.

Name ONE SINGLE CONDO ASSOCIATION that won't let you remodel the bathroom. Seriously, condo docs have rules, condo docs have regulations but what condo docs DO NOT HAVE is "laws that must be followed after purchasing". Inside the cubicle of air you buy, you can remodel darn near anything just as long as you don't make structural changes. There are plenty of goofy things in condo docs but if there is a prohibition on "bathroom remodels" or switching one kind of a tub for another, I will humbly apologize....of course, we'll need to see it. Otherwise, let's stick to the facts, ma'am. ... more

I have never herd of them how did they contact you? There are many fly by night crews in the area. I would ask for references from customers in the area and verify them.

I'm not sure of the answer, I would guess they are real people. I think the bottom line is that number doesn't mean much. It is all relative to what factors created the views. Does it come up near the top of many searches, has it been on the market for awhile, has the same person clicked on it a few times, is it in a popular search range, is it in a highly populated area.... and so on. What does it matter if a home has 1 hit or 10,000, if it is a good home it is a good home. The homes are searched by sellers, buyers, and people looking just for fun. At the end of the day I don't believe number of hits makes you look good or bad, it is more of a tool for the sellers to track activity. ... more
