What do you consider to be weak credit? The minimum credit score that lenders like myself can do can be as low as 580. So if your scores are above 580 then you have a chance at obtaining a home loan. Otherwise, you should work up your score to 580 or above, then you will be in a much better position. The simplest way to fix your credit is to pay off your debt and revolving credit balance on time. It's also important to understand that your ability to obtain a loan relies on other factors as well. These factors include debt, expenses, assets, employment, as well as down payment, income, and credit. The best thing for you to do is to speak with a lender to see if you can get started on financing a new home. If you have any further questions or if you would like a loan, feel free to contact me. I would contact realtors with signs up in your area. If you drive around you will see the bank owned properties. Many of the realtors that represent banks will put in on their signs.

As you are driving around you will also see homes that are in need of cleaning out. Start making calls off those signs. As a listing agent, I get calls from painters and gardners when I have a distressed property on the market. Call and offer your services.

You can also make some nice flyers and drop them off at the real estate companies in your area.

Good luck.
